a double-shot expresso at midnight

In Poems

she shushes in the dark
shutting my mouth with a sweet cinnamon caress
Rebel Rebel
I want to whisper
but she stops me at a glance
in this sweet hot darkness
she has doctored my senses
filling them with shards of lemongrass tea
and chocolate
in this solitary obscurity I fumble with words to say
for I can’t see her face
but I feel every curve press against me
in her seductive way
much like Marilyn Monroe
my fingers fumble as much as my non-existant words
as I reach out to her in my blindness
she laughs -- a real laugh not a barbie doll giggle
and
shushes me again
I supress a smile at this
we are ensconsed in darkness
psychically blind
but inside I have never been
more aware

and yes I know I mispelled espresso in the title it's supposed to be like that

I really like how well you convey the mood here. Very sexy but not too overt. I don't like the Marilyn Monroe reference, though. I think I have a clear enough picture without being supplied one of someone famous.

Nice. You really created an atmosphere. Well-written, interesting, nice ending. Good work.
